"Landscape is an important element for quality of life and wellbeing of people. The pursuit of landscape quality is thus essential for every citizen. The realization of this quality implies rights and responsibilities for everyone. Awareness of it should be more strongly developed.
Therefore, in the coming years, 48 organisations are working together to put landscape high on the agenda and to improve it."

The Landscape is Full of Stories
Publicity Campaign - concept 2007
The more you know, the more involved you feel
The publicity campaign ‘The Landscape is Full of Stories’ was a joint initiative by all prominent Nature and Landscape organisations in the Netherlands to get the public to become more involved in their own landscape. It was based on the idea that the more you know the stories of the landscape, the more involved you feel.
The process was simple: At a special place that you associated with a story or a memory, you called a special number, left your story on a database and placed a yellow flag upon the spot. Another visitor to the spot could then call the number on the yellow flag and listen to your story, giving an extra meaning and dimension to the landscape they could see all around them.
