"We got an iPod and listened at different spots to the information as told by Daan and Elvire. Our sense of wonder is growing by the minute."

"Another project, which we began last summer, is our audio tour. We want to welcome our clients and tell them as much as possible about us, our company and our wines. That's always fun to do, especially since we are proud, but we want to do it even better—and the idea of the audio tour was created. The vineyard tour is now more complete and we have the possibility to welcome even more people. Using an iPod and an MP3 player, we take you by the hand to experience Domaine de Marotte. We ourselves are very enthusiastic about it."

Domaine de Marotte
Vineyard audiotour - 2009
Living like gods in France
Domaine de Marotte is a vineyard owned and run by a Dutch couple, Daan and Elvire Dijkman, who dreamed of “living like gods in France.” Part of this dream was to proudly show visitors around the vineyard, explaining how the wine was made and holding a wine-tasting at the end. However, for Daan and Elvire, this took time away from actually creating the wine.
Their solution was a specially designed audio-tour. Visitors are given user-friendly audio equipment in the form of a giant wine bottle. They are guided around the key locations of the vineyard where Daan and Elvire tell their stories. After half an hour, visitors arrive at the wine-tasting section where Daan and Elvire meet them in person to offer them a glass of wine.
